Yes, you can transfer your Orbit eSIM to a new device, but there are a few important conditions to keep in mind.
How to Transfer Your eSIM to a New Device
1. Remove the eSIM from Your Current Device
- Before installing your eSIM on a new device, you must first remove it from your current device.
- Go to your device settings and follow the steps to delete or remove the eSIM.
2. Install the eSIM on Your New Device
- Once removed, you can reinstall your eSIM by scanning your original QR code or following the reinstallation steps in the Orbit App.
- If you no longer have access to your QR code, you may need to request a new installation through Orbit Support.
3. Attach Your Plans to the New Device
- If you have unattached or unactivated plan vouchers, they will remain available and can be used on your new device after reinstalling the eSIM.
- If you have an active data plan, it will transfer to the new device as long as the eSIM was properly removed from the original device.
What If I Can’t Remove My eSIM?
- If you lose your device or are unable to remove the eSIM before switching devices, your active plans may not be transferable.
- Orbit is not responsible for plans that become unusable due to a lost or unrecoverable eSIM.
